Who is Americans for Prosperity (AFP)?
The Koch brothers’ special interest group, Americans for Prosperity, and their many sister organizations pushing progressive agendas.
Americans for Prosperity is the political and policy organization created by the Koch brothers.
Who are the Koch brothers?
Charles and David Koch own Koch Industries and have acquired most of their wealth through the oil industry and acquisitions.
Koch brothers claim to back conservative and libertarian political candidates, but as this substack will explain, some of their organizations push progressive agendas.
Under the Umbrella of Americans for Prosperity:
Stand Together Trust
The progressive arm of Americans for Prosperity.
What is a social entrepreneur anyway?
Someone operating a for profit business to create social and environmental change?
That is what we call a “change agent.” A common tool for Marxism to lead us to Communism.
(Note: The Koch brothers’ father, Fred Koch, started the oil refinery business in which the brothers have amassed their fortune. Fred Koch worked in Soviet Russia during Stalin’s reign to train and educate Stalin’s communist regime in oil refinery. Fred Koch also operated an oil refinery operation in Germany under Hitler’s Third Reich. Many businesses were doing the same like Coca-Cola, so this author does not make the claim that Fred Koch was a Nazi or Soviet CCP sympathizer. If anything, the question is why the Koch brothers are operating a social change trust, like Stand Together Trust, knowing the implications of such linguistic dialectic. Basically, they should know better.)
What is Stand Together funding?
In March 2023, Stand Together Trust sponsored the South by Southwest Festival’s Education Program, called SXSW Edu.
While conservatives around the United States were (and still are) expressing concern over Drag Time Story Hours, the festival had one of their own.
Remember, this is an Education summit heavily focused on K-12 Education. Why would Stand Together support this?
Let’s look at what else they are promoting…
Stand Together pushes WSCC (Whole School, Whole Child, Whole Community) model.
While this author was watching a YouTube video by Lisa Logan, a researcher on education, one group stood out. Stand Together.
Right there, in front of it all, pushing the WSCC Model.
Here is the link to the video ⬇️
When individuals were sounding the alarm on the dangers of the WSCC model across this nation, Stand Together was heavily pushing it.
The CDC is the most notorious for pushing WSCC. This author wrote about it when trying to get the Missouri Governor, Mike Parson, to veto a dangerous bill that was carrying WSCC language.
You can read about it here⬇️
In the previous substack, this author points out CDC’s WSCC and how states (like Missouri) have adopted their model to bring the medical lobby into public schools.
Make sure you read the other substack to find out more about WSCC.
What else is Koch’s Stand Together up to?
As this substack is being written, the Gateway Pundit just came out with an article on Lebron James’s Education endeavors through the James Foundation.
Stand Together partnered with the James Foundation “to eliminate barriers that divide and hold students back, like residential assignment, which forces students to attend schools based on their zip codes.”
The saying that kids should not be tied to an education (a school) based on their “zip codes” is nothing new. Both the left and the right (the uni-party) have made this statement.
But what does that actually mean? Forcing students to go to a school far away from their home and into a community their families have not invested in nor are active community members in? A lot to discuss there, including how that plays into policy initiatives like open enrollment.
Stand Together works with many groups and funds copious amounts of grants for progressive ideas.
Here are a few examples…
Note: The predatory push for computer-based virtual learning will have to be its own substack. There are so many of these organizations waiting in the wings for their pay day to move students away from traditional pedagogy and into B.F. Skinner’s (look him up) teaching machines through school choice privatization.
Stand Together and the Walton Foundation partnered to back the VELA Education Fund.
Here you will see a heavy push for micro schooling, lab schools, charters, etc.
All a push to privatization and they have the software, curriculum, and resources to sell you. Many of these programs have the SEL and adaptive learning models embedded in them.
The market capture.
This author could go on and on about the progressive arm of Americans for Prosperity but this substack is getting long and we will move on to another important part of their organization.
Grassroots Training…
Americans for Prosperity is showing up to every town around Missouri and convincing the local citizens that they need “Grassroots” training.
They have created another facet (yes, they have a ton of sister groups and it’s annoying to keep up with them all) of their organization.
They call this group the Grassroots Leadership Academy (GLA).
They use this group to bring their agendas to the local level and to give the appearance of popular support in the grassroots.
Here is the deal…
Any good grassroots local citizen does not need a billionaire-backed organization to teach them to be grassroots. That’s a hypocrisy.
This is called “Astroturfing.” Fake grass.
Make no mistake, Americans for Prosperity is well funded and is anything but grassroots.
It is backed by the same funders that have sister organizations ushering in extremely progressive policy. They play both sides.
Understand it and reject it.
I KNEW I had gotten a whiff of something funky from AFP lately, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Thank you! Excellent job!
Excellent job, Thank you much as you helped me to connect some more dots here in Ohio.
