Show-Me Institute is a front for keeping DESE in control & pushing DEI in Education.
How Rex Sinquefield's organizations (CEAM, ALEC, & Show-MO institute) are pushing for State Centralized power over Education with DEI sprinkled on top.
Why is Show-Me Institute protecting MO DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education)?
As Education Legislation moves through the Jefferson City Capital, it is not surprising that Show-Me Institute is trying to do damage control. They are constantly saturating media to give the appearance of popular support.
With that being said, Local Control MO has made many of the same points that the recent article has lined out. These are fair points and not conflicting with the stance of the author of this Substack, but as you read along you will see why we question the sincerity of this recent article.
Let’s peek behind the curtain.
What is interesting is that the financial backer of Show-Me Institute, Rex Sinquefield, used his other organization, CEAM (Children’s Education Alliance of Missouri) in 2013 to ADVOCATE for Common Core.
Here are the body of the articles pushing for Common Core in 2013 while Moms across Missouri were organizing against the implementation.
In 2012, CEAM Director, Kate Casas, joined forces with the Democrats and and other non-conservative groups to ask Teachers Unions to join forces with them.
In 2012, Kate Casas wrote a letter to TFA founder, Wendy Kopp, about her experiences working with Teach for America (TFA).
What is Teach for America (TFA)?
Kate Casas pushed TFA often while the Director of CEAM.
The term “rigorous” outcomes is commonly used in Common Core linguistics.
TFA is applauded by Obama’s former U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan.
The same time period that Kate Casas was writing arcticles supporting TFA and Common Core, TFA was pushing DEI.
Who is TFA Wendy KOPP?
What is Teach For All?
Wendy Kopp and her friends are pictured here. One can not ignore the communist rise up fist.
We could go all day on how CEAM and TFA are proponents of Common Core and DEI, but let’s move on.
Here we have Rex Sinquefield with Wendy Kopp.
Wendy Kopp is married to KIPP Charter School owner Richard Barth.
An example of a priority of TFA.
Who else is TFA? Democrat Senator Lauren Arthur.
Remember, Show-Me Institute is backed by Index Funds money man, Rex Sinquefield, who backs CEAM who is pushing DEI through Charter Schools.
Here is an example of a Charter School currently operating in Missouri.
Why is Senator Andrew Koenig carrying water for Charters and the DEI pushers through his SB 5 Open Enrollment Bill?
Koenig’s SB 5 wrote in CEAM/TFA’s Kate Casas’s NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) Board into the Open Enrollment bill. Missouri Charter Public School Association.
Who sits on this Board? Why no surprise here. TFA/CEAM now NEXUS group lobbyist Kate Casas.
Who else sits on this Board?
McShane is also with EdChoice.
What other organizations does Rex Sinquefield fund?
You can learn more about these organizations and who funds them here.
Sinquefield’s daughter has a seat at the table on ALEC, an organization known for passing around model legislation that is not geared to the specific needs of Missouri. Apparently, legislators can not come up with own polices and have to have them handed to them by special interest groups. More on ALEC later, this is already getting long.
Show-Me Institute clearly is not happy about the use of Twitter to share information.
Show-Me Institute Board Member and lobbyists for corporate interests have no problem using Twitter and social media to go after those that dare to Vote No on legislation that will fill their pockets. You can read more about that here.
The folks at Show-Me do not want DESE standardization gone, they actually are pushing for it.
Keonig’s accountability is model legislation from Sinquefield’s ALEC organization. They want a report card, a standardization across all schools. This has nothing to do with accountability.
During the floor debate when Senator Jill Carter had her bill, SB 85, on the floor, Senators Trent and Coleman filibustered while Koenig drafted up language to add to Carter’s bill that would truly cut back DESE control.
What did he add? You guessed it. A report card amendment.
Make no mistake, the voucher left have infiltrated the Conservative arm of the Republican party. School Choice™️ is a front for ushering Obama Common Core era ideals into private schools and homeschools.
Tell your legislators to remove DESE control and no to School Choice™️.
This is sobering. As they say, follow the $$$. Thank you so much for exposing the rabbit trail of dirty $$$ by which the evil is allowed to propagate even in the "grassroots" community. Globalism/Satanism is ever so clever, and men's sinful nature made it easier in the age of "evil for good and good for evil."
God is in control, and He is a faithful God, his promise of coming back is near!
