🚨🚨🚨Call to Action! Testify in support for SB 814, Carter’s Bill to unhinge Public Schools from DESE!
Please testify in support of Carter’s SB 814 at the Missouri State Capital on Wednesday, January 17th, at 1pm in the Senate Lounge. This is our chance to reign in DESE’s overreach.
Carter’s SB 814 “Education Freedom Act” would free Missouri public school children from the over reach of DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) once and for all.
SB 814 removes accreditation power from DESE and gives it to the local schools.
Did you know that 28 states plus D.C. do not have state accreditation models?
Let’s make Missouri number 29!
Accountability and Accreditation are not the same thing. Local schools can still have some level of accountability at the state level without state accreditation.
MO DESE uses accreditation to push national agendas and copious instructional mandates that burden our schools and take away from instruction in the classroom. It is truly the boot on the neck of our schools.
Please show up to the Capital this Wednesday, January 17th, to show support of Carter’s SB 814. Hearing starts at 1pm in the Senate Lounge. Show up early to secure your seat.
