Republicans are trying to pass legislation (SB 727) that incentivizes illegals to flood Missouri through a $10,800 Universal Basic Education Income Voucher.
Have you heard of “school choice?” How about “parent empowerment” or “money follows the child?”
Sounds nice right?
But have you read the bills they are trying to pass under the guise of “school choice?”

Would you be surprised to see that the ESA vouchers give 160% more to illegal immigrants?
160% more than to Missouri citizens.
“For a qualified student who meets the criteria to be included in a school district’s limited English proficiency pupil count as set forth in subdivision (8) of subsection 163.011, not more than one hundred and sixty percent of the state adequacy target:”
Who is a “qualified student?”
“(8) “Qualified student”, any elementary or secondary school student who is a resident of this state and”
A resident does not have to be a legal citizen.
There is case law on this.
Therefore, the State is going to increase their budget by $271 MILLION to fund these vouchers.
We already have a crisis at the border. Why are Republicans trying to incentivize more illegals to flood Missouri?
